Checking the prices of the two from dealers, all of them have D1X price higher. But when I check Ebay price, all D2H sellers want more $$$ than the D1X.

Wonder why?

As well as being aimed at different markets I think, (D1X is nowhere near as fast D2H) I think the price of the D2H is being/will soon be affected by the Canon 1Dmk2. In the UK the Canon is only £500 to £600 more for a Camera with newer autofocus etc and twice the resolution, though currently out of stock everywhere, so D2H can hold its price I guess.

Also, I get the impression a D2X is on its way to supercede the D1X, so at a guess maybe that accounts for the lower price on ebay, whilst the dealers look to clear them through at a profitable price?

Also with ebay i'm never sure you always get a genuine bargain, if you look around for second user equipment it can be similar or cheaper price, and also comes with a warranty.
