Hi all,

I am still waiting for my D70 (more than 3 months now ...:sad so I spent a lot of time trying to learn and also looking for the accessoriesI might need.

I ordered the kit soI was wondering what telephoto lens to go for. What do you guys think about the 55-200mm f4-5.6 DC ? I cannot find a good review of this lens.

I am comparing it to the Sigma 70-300. The size of the budget is therefore clear ....

I know that once I will end up with some Nikkor 70-200VR or Sigma 70-200/2.8HSM APO but for the beginning .... ;-)

Sorry I don't know anything about the Sigma 55-200mm f4-5.6 DC, because I don't own it and have never tried it.
I do however have the Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 II APO Macro Super.
I'm new to DSLR myself, so all I can say is I'm pleased with this lens for the price. Here is a couple links that I posted with this lens at 300mm.I hope this helps.

Oh, I forgot these were also taken with a D70.
