I am new to digital photography and kind of new to photography in general. I just got a Nikon D70 Kit with the SB-600 Speedlight. My question is this: When using the flash, the Electronic Analog Exposure Display still shows that the picture will be underexposed, shouldn't it show what the flash will compensate for?
Does the flash automatically compensate no matter what the EV is?
Also, even when the Electronic Analog Exposure Display shows the correct amount of exposure, the flash will still fire. I would assume that the flash will communicate with the camera and see that it is not needed. Maybe I need to put the flash in TTL mode rather than TTL BL mode?
I am sure this is all normal, so please don't flame me. I just want some advice from people with more experience than me. Thanks in advance for the help.
