I hope I didn't make a mistake getting Nikon's D70 a few days ago .

I was craving Canon's 20D but it was way out of my price range. I tried the Rebel XT but I hated the way it felt in my hand. I tried out the D70 and it felt great.

I just hope I didn't spend my hard-earned money on product made by a sinking ship company

I don't think Nikon is a sinking ship company. They have been areound for a long time and will be here for many, many years to come:!:

No, you didn't make any mistakes in getting a D70 -- the D70 is a fantastic camera. It has the best histogram display and the highest flash sync speed of ANY DSLR ANYWHERE.

Also, Nikon has the absolute BEST flash system, period.

I regularly use my D70 and SB800 to shoot Weddings, and it has proven itself.

What you felt when you compared Nikon to Canon was perhaps design integrity rather than marketing panash? You need to sort this out for yourself, as everyone needs a certain comfort level regarding their own equipment. :-)

I kinda wish I had held onto my D100 when I got my D300. It was a great camera. The D100 owners of three years ago sorta sound like the D200 owners now that the D300 is the new kid on the block.
