I am just beginning to work with my Nikon D70 and Speedlight SB-600. I will be doing a lot of indoor shots in a hospital setting. Do I need to get additional lights and, if so, what do you recommend that is very portable, light and inexpensive? I read about Sunpak's flat panel lights ($80 each) but I don't know the first thing aboutusing this type of portrait lighting.

A second SB600 or even a SB800 would probably do the trick. I have one of each and using them together I can pretty much eliminate shadows. The other really nice thing is that they can function as wireless remote flashes. I have used the built-in speed light and the 600 and 800 for fill - all without wires. Most recently I have been using the 800 on camera and the 600 off for back or side lighting and have gotten some really good results. :|
