Where did you get this and what are the chances that it is real. I am highly sceptical at this time.

Where I got this one??
It came originally on net from some odd source site that I browsed on. But now gone. First saw afew weeks before this time. I saved before they haderase it from site I browesd originally. And I thought it was real truthfully. Look to this one closely. Looktoit realclosely. It apears to not be of the real D100 original image, or the true D70 or D2 body. Seem like one that is a new one totally in fact. And that is unlike others on net that have been seen ahead of now. Remember I the first ones. Those one images looked as a S3 Fuji or D100 of the Nikon name. All fake proved easily. This one not same type of course. Look to it closely. Believe I thatat least. Sorry that I have trouble in the English. I feel sooambarrassed. |

Hmmmmmm. A D70 with a new logo perhaps? I really can't see Nikon allowing such a photo out like that with a 50mm F1.4 lens either. Normally the photo will include the "kit" lens or the body only. However, I shall be pleased to be wrong of course.

sorry, looks photoshopped to me. the proportions look odd and the lens specs look as if they weren't there in first place.

That's a photoshopped F6 body.

If you have seen many of Marokero's posts, you'll know he knows his Nikons better than most, like Onyx too. If he says so, I believe him. Anyway, I had a good look at the publicity photos of the F6 and, what do you know?, it had the F1.4 50mm lens in the publicity shot! The more you compare the F6 shot with the "D200" you can see it is a fake.

Actually, it has the overall shape of the D100, with conjured up parts of the F6 and D70, but some parts of that picture just don't look right. The reflection on the lens, the x-sync and 10-pin connectors look like they were added in and don't quite match the jpg compression artifacts of the rest of the picture. The midsection of the camera in the picture doesn't quite look right either, and the red thinggy just looks added in and doesn't have the correct shading or surounding edge with the rubber covering of the grip. Another giveaway is the absence of the screws above the lens mount, which could be hidden in that deep shadow, but if you blow it up in photoshop you can still see hints of a screw (left side above lens mount) from a D70/D100 body. I have no idea what the D200 will look like eventually, but I don't think this is it. Below is a picture of the F6:
