I bought a Nikon D70, with an additional Nikon ENEL3 battery back in January. Since then, I have cycled both batteries enough to see that the additional battery will need recharging after about 40 pictures. I first called 17th St. Photo, and they said I would have to contact Nikon. I called Nikon service, and they said batteries do not have a warranty, so I'm stuck with a bum battery!!!

So, beware of purchasing bad batteries from Nikon, you will be stuck with them!!

Just an update. I sent Nikon Customer Service an e-mail explaining my problem. I received a telephone call this morning from NikonUSA that they were shipping me a new battery.

My faith in Nikon has been restored!!!
