Is it a good idea to purchase an extended warranty for the D70? If so, which one? Specifically, are the Mack ones good?

Over the years I've decided to keep my money and pay for any repairs that are needed. If you buy an extended warranty for a camera are you also going to buy one for your VCR, TV,, DVD, Car? I've found that most equipment outlasts the warrenties and if it does fail well I can replace it and still be ahead in the long term.

If you are going to buy an extended warranty I would suggest MACK. First of all it is transferable. Secondly there are resellers on ebay that charge a fraction of what a store or even B&H will charge you for the warranty. For DSLRs, it might well be worth the investment. I think my Mack warranty for my D70 was about $45.

What is a Mack warranty? I am unfamiliar with the name. Thanks.
