Well, I don't know how the rest of you D 70 owners fared with the firmware upgrade but, I, for one, am greatly pleased. A couple of monthes ago I purchased a Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG macro lens. I did a lot of reading about before I bought it and the consensus seemed to be that it was an extremely sharp lens and good value for the $'s. However, several reports mentioned that in autofocus mode it spent a lot of time seeking and that, in general, manual focus would bring out the best in the lens. Pretty much forget autofocus altogether. Well, true enough, very disappointing in AF. Lo and behold though, after the upgrade to the 2.0 firmware this lens has literally leapt to life. Images of things like back lit dandelion heads are razor sharp. Almost like an entirely different lens. If any of you haven't made the change I would recommend that you do and you may be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

Cheers, Erik
