Default D100 file information and retrieval

On our CP5700, the camera allowed for specific information about each image to be stored in a separate log file. Where does the D100 store this information? The specifics, ie aperture, white balance, etc, are viewable on the camera itself, but we would like to access that information at a later date from the computer rather than the camera.

The D100 attaches the info to whatever format the image is shot in an EXIF extension. It is part of the image. Care is needed if you edit the image. Some image editing programs destroy this info.

Hint: Never edit an original. Make a copy and edit that.
