For people who purchased the Nikon D50, any regrets / complaints? Anyone wish they would have purchased the D70s instead? Why?

No regrets and no problems with D50.
Sometimes i do wish that D50 had a "commander mode" and backlight in the top LCD but
i was aware of these issues when i bought the camera so D50 has met my expectations.
I wouldn't change my D50 to D70s because D50 has lower noise, better dynamic area and easier image review.

No regrets it's an excellent camera, I prefer it to the 20d and d70. I owned the 20d and played a lot with the d70 and 350xt, the d50 is plenty a camera for me. if Nikon ever makes a 5fps d50 then id really forget iv ever owned a 20d. all these cameras are so good that it really boils down to how you like the feel of them, in this regard the d50 fits me like a glove.

20d was to hefty and the shutter was noisy, the d70 was almost perfect and the kit lens was just as good as that of 20d, the 350xt is a jewel and performs like a charm but to small and felt plastic (fragile). D50 will cover my needs for year to come but I still want a mega zoom PS like s5200 or fz5 for there convenience and fun.

I'm pleased with my choise, but I have some regrets, and the reasons are the following:

-No actual support for LCD protectors.
-There will be no battery grip from Nikon
-No back light on the LCD
-The 18-55mm kit lens isn't all that great

No complaint. I love the D50 and found no falt on it. Took more than 1000 pictures with it. I use my D50 exclusively with Nikkor 80-400VR for bird fhotography. I wish I could buy one without the kit lens.My only complaint is thatNikon will not sell D50 without kitlens here in Thailand where they make the D50:?

What FANTASTIC photos!! You must have a lotta' years using a camera.

Do you remember what settings you used to take such tremendous pictures?

My Son is considering buying a D-50/ These photos should convince him to stop considering and just buy it.

He found the best buy at butterflyphoto.com. Has anyone ever bought from them, and were you pleased with the service? I bought my cameras from buydig.com. They have always been just great.

Thank you for your time.
