Lenses on my camera get swapped an average of twice a day. When changing lenses, I make certain that the lens that's being swapped in is spotless, and then take Nikon's advice to hold the camera body with the mount facing down while attaching lenses. I think the biggest contributing factor to keeping the insides of my D100 clean is that I've only owned it during winter months. Nearly all of the pictures it's taken were done outside. Consequently, the lenses are generally changed outside and my mirror box is only exposed outside. Here in Virginia, it's wet enough during the winter that there isn't much dust in the air. It will be interesting to see what happens as the pollen count creeps up and the ground dries out.
