Hope this doesn't fall in the catagory of a wildly dumb question. I have poor vision and I'm almost 50. I like deep rich color with a lot of contrast. I have my camera set in the vivid mode and the saturation ramped up to the max. Are there any other custom/advanced settings I might use to increase the odds of getting that look pretty much every time, out of the box? I don't mind a little post-production work, but don't want to have to increase the saturation in every shot.

I will admit there are some custom choices I just don't feel like I should particularly touch like tone compensation and hue etc. And I am aware how much lighting factors into the whole. I'm much happier with late afternoon shots than high noon.

Thanks in advance,
