I have a Nikon D300 and I am going to egypt on holiday (sadly not to see the pyramids) but obviously the camera will be coming with me mainly for landscape shots.
I currently have:
70mm-200mm f2.8
70mm - 300mm f4-5.6
17mm-55mm f3.5-5.6

If I need a new lens to get the best shots I'll do it, although I haven't got a strict budget I'd like to not spend more than £400 on it. Any idea what is best for me?

I agree that you've got most situations covered. I would tend to recomment the 70-200 f/2.8 over the 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 though you may want the longer reach of the later. Weight should also be considered. In the end, only you can decide. I wouldn't think it wise to take both.

Personally, I would find the lack of a wider lens somewhat of a limitation, but that's a very personal choice. One of the 12-24mm or 10-20mm lenses might be consideration. They would be the only thing to really consider adding to you lens selection.

Probably depends where you're going.

I've just got back from a trip on the Nile mostly visiting the temples along the Nile. I only fitted 1 lens per day to avoid getting dust in the camera changing the lens in the open. I used a 18-135 some days and found the longer range useful occasionally fro picking out details. Other days I fitted a 12-24 for a bit of variety and this was good for getting a more complete view of the huge temples including Abu Simbel. Cruising along the Nile I used a 70-300 a lot of the time towards the 300 end to pick out action on the banks.

Karnak and Luxor valley of the kings queens where 18-135, Edfu & Kom Ombo where 12-24.
