Finally, it came into stock.
Sigma 70-700 f2.8 APO HSM DG EX Two sample pics, both shot hand-held. These are not intended to show off any of my skills (or lack thereof) just simply a quick demo of the lens. If anyone would like me to perform a test for them, let me know what you want done and I'll post the results. 1) Shot through my window at work, its not terribly clean so if you find clarity problems, blame the window. The pole is about 100 feet away, the buildings about 500 yards. 200mm, f5, 1/1600s, ISO400 2) Shot sitting on a piece of paper in front of my window. The truck is 1 meter away. 200mm, f4, 1/250s, ISO200. Focus point was between the Superman Logo and the front window. ![]()

I think there is something really up with the site you are hosting these on or my PC is having an issue. The photos have taken about 10 mins to load so far and I'm running a 20mbs connection.
Let me know if it sorted and I will take a look. |

They load fine here Mark. So, it may have something to do with the route you're taking to get to the server they're on.

You're right, they've loaded fine now. I tried a few times earlier and it was driving me crazy as everything was loading fine.
Looks like you have a lens that you are going to enjoy using. Can't wait to see you using it in anger. |

The server's connection was flaky the last few days, so its quite possible that this is the reason that the images were loading so slowly.
As for "using it in anger", I'm about to post my first bird pictures in the wildlife forum. |
