Default Nikkor AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G

Has anybody got this lens or tried it. I just read a good article on it in in Photoshop User and the price is not bad either.

Ken Rockwell says its great. For a DX camera is about the same as a 50mm that we all used back in the days before zooms. Visit his site and check it out and see if it's what your looking for. I have the 50mm 1.4 and use it on my D700 sometimes, not as often anymore. But when I need the extra light a zoom just cant fill the bill.

Love this lens. Great when it starts getting dark.

Thats the Atlantic behind, taken at nearly 22H on the western coast of France. The f/1.8 is just that bit too shallow for me. I prefer f/2 instead.

I have one and like it, but I'm still trying to figure out how to use it. Sure focuses fast on my D40. Mostly I just try to get as close to my subject as I can and blast away, generally wide open or close to it. Thankfully my son is a willing participant.

I have just bought a D300 S and 16-85. But I would like a prime lens for landscape. I want very sharp pictures. Has anyone some experience with this lens when it comes to landscape protography.
