when i had a pentax i had quite a few lenses i didnt use, so i thought when i switch over to nikon i need only 4, these were nikon 18-105vr & 70-300vr, sigma 105 macro (all of which i have) leaving just a 10-20mm for me to get, now i thought id be happy with those 4 lenses, now im thinking id quite like something like a 50mm f1.4 for low light, ive also seen lots about the nikon 18-200 so maybe that would make a better walk around than my 18-105.
so my question is, will it ever end or will there allways be another lense i need lol

You're kidding, right?
You have a camera that can use multiple lenses. How many lenses is too many? The number that results in divorce. ... maybe.

I do a few senior photos each year to satisfy my lens cravings, camera bodies come and go, lenses are forever. (at my age anyway)

there will always be another ![]() i also recently switched from Pentax to Nikon, and since then i have not looked back. i started the D90 with 18-200, and the 35/1.8 for low light , the 18-200 has covered everything so much ( even low light shots ) that now, 3 months later , i have not used the 35 yet .not to far back, i was thinking of getting the 16-85 and 70-300, so as to increase the picture quality , and realised that i am more than satisfied with the 18-200, and i dont have to switch lenses.![]() Why buy a cow and you are getting milk free ![]() Dave |

I pretty much have the entire focal length covered from 10-300mm, but that doesn't really seem to be slowing down my desires for more lenses. Lately I've been thinking about upgrading to faster zooms, and after I upgrade my body to something that does not require AF-S lenses (D90 or D300s), probably some more fast primes... hello 85f/1.4 and 105f/2DC.
Then if I really go overboard, Zeiss ZF manual focus primes. And I really want a 300f/4. Hey, my bag keeps getting heavier. Golfers have caddys, can photogs get someone to pack their crap around?
