Nikon 105mm micro lens question
The manual doesn't really explain this but can anyone please tell me how the FULL and (? infinity) - 0.5m setting works on this lens?
I have tried taking shots on both settings and can't really tell the difference. Cheers Lyn |

It doesn't do anything optically, it's just a focus limiter... It reduces the "range"
of focus so that when using it as a "normal" lens it doesn't have as far to travel from max to minimum... It simply cuts out the close focus/macro end of the focal range to make normal distance (non-macro) focusing faster...
