I need help understanding what all the letters mean after lense focal length and aperture. For instance,I seetwo used Sigma 28-80mm f2.8 AF (auto-focus) lenses, but one is an Ex F and one is an F. What's the difference, and how do I know which is most compatible with my camera (Nikon D70)?

How about the difference between a Nikon D or G lens?

Thanks in advance for the code-breaking tips.

See my previous post:

EX is Sigmas top of the line stuff, as AF-S is for Nikon, and L is for Canon.
