Dear experienced users,

On Feb 2005, I purchased nikkor 50 f1.4 and 80 f1.8 from bhphoto.com. Both of them are so called 'usa' version that comes with 1-yr basic and 4-yr extended warranty.I knew that they came with 5 yr warranty, but I didn't know I have to send a postcard which was in the original box within 10 days after purchase date to make 5 yr warranty valid. Now, it's already 2month over and I'm not sure I could get the 5 yr warranty, if I send those postcards and register them. Do you have any similar experience? Do I really fail to get additional 4 yr extended service warranty by failing to send those things within 10daysafter thepurchase date? If it's true, I'm speechless..

Call Nikon at 1-800-NikonUS and ask them what the deal is. My experience, but I'm in Canada, is that every Nikon lense purchased new from an authourized Nikon dealer comes with a 5 year warranty.
