I have a D50 with the 18-55 kit lens, and I would like to buy a telefoto zoom lens. First I wanted to but the nikkor 55-200, but then I have found reviews, where the tamron 55-200 LD Di-II seemed to have better optical quality. What is your opinion, which is the better lens?

:idea:Well,, I have the 18-55 and 55-200 Nikon. They're, both great lenses, IMHO. I wanted more reach and after much research on this and other forums, I got a Tamron 28-300 (Thanks for your endorsement MT) and it hasn't been off my D50 since I got it.

Just another option to consider.
