Default CP 885 vs 3100

We've just ordered a Coolpix 885 (price: ~ $420 including 128 Mb Sandisk CF card), we chose between that and a CP 3100. The reason we decided to go for the 885 was because of the manual possibilities and the fact that the 3100 would have cost us about $60 more.

Was it a good descision?

Only time will tell if you made the write descision!! the 885 is a very good camera but nikon no longer makes it. so if you have a problem you will not beable to send it in for a repair. Now the good side is that 885 will take a lot of add ons ,wide angle lens and so on .you can get a lot of these off the net such as ebay and other places. The 3100 is just what you get!! you cant do any manual work with it.just point and click. Good luck with the 885!! my wife and i each use one and love it. Tealblue
