hi guys. just bought a NIKON S510 today , and imn confused that why when i click pics it appears distorted on camera but clear on the pc.. and when i tried vid rec for 10mins the space next to the lens where the batterery is gets hot....
so am worried if there a problem with the piece...
hlep me sson so that i can replace it if its defected...
last cam used nikon s5

My guess would be that the on cam screen is low res and distorts the high res images the camera creates. As for the video the camera probably uses more battery power when recording and causes it to get warm. I wouldn't be worried unless temps make the camera too hot to hold onto. There is battery recall on Nikons site for the EN-EL3 batteries, not sure which one yours uses though.
