Take at look at mine and Jack55's pictures on pages 12 and 13. That should give you a good idea.

Monochrome will change the way that colors "show up" in a black and white photo. Im sure google will be more help than I can in a short post. However, I do know it is only for black and white mode.

So I spent some time at the National Zoo today in DC. I shot over three hundred pics (on one battery, might I add) but here are a few of my favorites. I still cant get over how much gear I would have had to carry to get shots like these from a DSLR with an expensive lens. Plus, the P90 is so nice and light around my neck.

Couple eagle shots of my own today. The mother was setting way back in the trees enticing junior to fly out of the nest for the first time.
I got the flight with my Pentax K10D, but these with the Nikon. The parent eagle was a long ways away in another tree. I had to use the full zoom plus cropping to get this. My Pentax DSLR did NOT have this range. ![]() Finally Junior makes his first flight. This is shot with the Pentax as I had the Nikon on the Tripod. ![]() Junior is waiting for his mother. Shot with the Nikon P90 ![]() It got dark for me to shoot any more. Last edited by jack55; Jul 6, 2009 at 11:29 AM. |

I remembered to pack the tripod on the 4th, so got to test out the fireworks setting, and was quite pleased with the results.

Pretty spectacular shots you got there!
I have the view of downtown Tacoma from my balcony, so there were fireworks going off everywhere...

C'mon Jack. Not all of us can shoot eagles in their natural habitat.
