Default 4500 Neat Feature !!

To me, one of the really nice features of 4500 - something not found on any other digicam, to my knowledge at least, is the perspective correction. The process is done in-camera by menu selection and you manually adjust to get the proper perspective on top and bottom of the image. The save time is sometimes as long as 30 seconds, but the entire operation doesn't take more than 45 seconds once you get the hand of it.

I think the camera does an excellent job, and quicker than I can do it in software. Here's a before and after - look closely at the building as well as the "lean" of the power and telephone poles. At first when I looked at the corrected image, I thought I might have overdone it because the building looked a little wider at the top than the bottom, but a close measurement showed that it was an illusion which was probably caused by the roof. It's actually almost perfect.
