Default 5700 and sync with studio lights

I've found a place that will rent me studio lights for $35/day but they asked about the camera and when they heard it was digital they wanted me to check to verify that it will sync with studio lights. The guy said some of them do and some do not.

Does anyone here know if the 5700 will sync with studio lights?

I use my nikon cp5700 with studio lights as follows:
1. set camera on manual, shutter @ 1/125 and auto flash on.
2. I use a external flash meter to determine exposure f-stop.
3. I hold a a small white card(like a business card) relector in front of pop up flash at about 45 degrees to create a trigger light for the studio lights slaves. Pop up doesnot affect exposure since studio flash units have much higher flash output. The studio units I am using are SP Studio model 150's with umbrellas or bare with barn doors.
I have very consistent results using this set up.
May devise a little clip-on relector in my spare time.

Default I'll try it with the reflector!

I've been using a Wein digital "safe sync" but its quite bulky and I can't get used to the camera being tethered. I have a wein slave so I'm going to give that a try this saturday to see if it works.

Here are a few test shots...

The big event with paying customers is this weekend. Hope all goes well!
