Default Macro

Im a dentist who wants to take macro images of my patients with a digital camera. I need a very sharp image because Im a teacher too and that images will be used in presentations. My film equipment is a F80 with SB29 ring flash and a 105 micro. Is it possible to use the D100 with my flash and lens? What about the Fuji S1 that costs a litlle lower?

Did you find Steve's page that has Dental / Medical Digicams Maybe this will help you find something. I'm not knowledgeable of the lenses that will fit the D100, but if you head to the DSLR section and ask under Nikon or lenses somebody might know ( if you've not done so yet)

You should have no problem with that setup on the D100. But probably will have to run it in either Manual or Aperture priority mode because of the SB29.

Just remember that all of these digital SLRs have a focal length multiplier because the CCD imager is smaller than 35mm film. The D100 is 1.5x so your 105mm micro lens becomes ~157mm.
