Just back from the USA where I bought a Nikon Coolpix 5200 from the Bestbuy store in Sarasota.
However everything seemed alright until I recorded short videos on the Coolpix. There were sounds emanating from the camera after it was turned on,heard only if you held your ear from approx 6 inches away from the camera. However I assumed this was normal until I recorded the video clips-All the sounds ,probably from the shutter/focusing mechanisms are very clearly audible on the recorded video.
Question is what can one do now-Cant go all the way back from London to Sarasota to return the camera!
Had a look at the guarantee card and it says that the guarantee is valid in the US/Canada only.
Have I been stuck with a £210 dodo with no alternatives.

Thanks for any suggestions at all.

There is a autofocus mode where the camera constantly adjusts focus instead of the half-pressed-button-focus mode.

Check if you have this setting on, reset it and try again.
