My 995 just died also, similar to an October post, only I had no apparent problem, hadn't bent a pin, dropped the camera or thrown it in the sand that I know of, LOL......I recharged the batteries, switched the cards, cleaned the battery terminals, but I am getting nothing. It was interesting because this first happened a couple of weeks ago and I picked up the camera yesterday and it turned on, with a low battery, but when I turned it off and then turned it back on it would not come on again. I recharged the batteries, even bought a new battery, but am getting nothing.

Does anybody have any ideas on what the problem might be? I also read what others have done to fix the problems with the dark pictures, but that doesn't seem to be theissue here.

Thanks for any help anybody can provide.

hi linda
i was one of the posters in oct because my camera also died. just for interest did you try putting a little pressure on the case with your finger just behind the flash with the camera turned on? i am still trying to find out if this is a 'common' failure with this camera. mine is about 3.5 years old.
