Do you guys usually use "Fine" or "Normal" in Image Quality?
There's a substantial size difference between the two but I am not sure if the quality difference is actually noticeable.

I always shoot at large fine. Might as well get as much in the file as possable if you need to crop it at some point.

only just getting my D50 last week I use the medium/normal settings. But then again I only have a 256meg card in it atm. So till I get a bigger one I prefer to have the 230 odd pics to use so I can practice my shots. And although I can delete as I go there are a few pics that I keep so i can view on my pc cause the little lcd screen just isn't big enough for some pics.

i would always shoot using fine. you spent all this money buying a good camera to run it at a lower settings. i think run the cam at its highest setting to get th emost out of it. its lke buying a ferarri and runing on 91 premium. waste of time i think

you should notice a quiality differnece at 100% crop. like mentioned by anothe rmemeber if you plan on cropping then i saw fine all the way
