Default Question for Coolpix 4500 Users

My cousin was looking forward to buy a Coolpix 4500, but was concerned about the lag time, low battery life and absence of AF assist beam,
Can anyone shed more light on the above or other features of the camera which can be a cause of concern in the long run.

As per my previous note. As a (satisfied) 4500 user -

1) Lag time. If you're refering to the time required to run through its auto-focus I havn't found this a big problem with the kind of subjects that I'm into photographing. These are macro subjects (insects etc) and wildlife through a telescope.

2) Low battery life. I use one in the camera and cary a spare. I normally run out of "film" before I run out of battery. The one exception was a fortnight in Spain (occasional use) before I had a suitable battery charger.

3) AF assist beam. The autofocus seems to work ok without.

Other causes of concern - none realy but then I havn't done a detailed comparison across a lot of other products. I just went for a camera that seemed popular for my type of subjects.
