Default Nikon View 5

I bought a new computer and need to download Nikon View 5. Several months ago when I bought my camera ( used cp5000 ), I simply downloaded the software and firmware 1.7 from the Nikon site.

I can't get it to download this time. The site said that if the download doesn't work, I must have a gray market camera.

Anyone elso have this problem?

Any solutions?

Just for grins, I just tried downloading the latest version of Nikon View 6.01 and I had no problems. I went to the below address , selected my camera and browsed for the software. When I choose to download it, it prompted me for a user id and password, then a camera model and serial number. Assuming you don't have a grey market camera, only thing I can think of is perhaps you choose the wrong camera version or incorrectly typed in the serial #. I'd try it again, but delete your cookies before you go to the site to ensure you are prompted for the information. Once you have entered it once, you will not be prompted again because it uses a cookie to remember you from there out.
