Hi all, Much like the thread asking about maximum CF Card sizes for the E510, has anyone heard anything about read / write speeds?

I'm thinking of getting an 8 gig Extreme 2. Will the other cards be worthwhile enough for the extra money?

Never heard of an Extreme 2...with Sandisk there's the Ultra II, the Extreme III and Extreme IV.

I haven't heard from anyone who has tried the Extreme IV with the E-510, but the Extreme III will give you twice the performance of the Ultra II; there's a test one site did with its E-500 users, take four RAW shots and record how long it takes to finish writing to the card. You can see the results here (Extreme III taking ~5 seconds, Ultra II ~9 seconds):

And if you buy a Sandisk DO NOT buy it on eBay...95% of the Sandisk cards being sold there are COUNTERFEIT (fake). Buy it in a reputable store.
