Same question here as I put in the Pentax department.
I suppose it be highly likely the case since my 2001' Z4040 does feature this functionality, too.
Put again: Connected to a TV - will there be the "live" viewfinder picture to be seen (when - of course - not in playback mode)?
I'm about finally buying this camera, as it seems to be most "Compact"-like, weight and size wise. PLUS that LiveView thing!

O.K. then, what video-out does the E-510 feature?

I'm not an E-510 user, but with all Olympus' whatever is shown on the LCD will be instead shown on the video output. With the E-510 though, you need to have the camera in Live View mode (as you would have to do if you were just viewing on the LCD).
