Default E3 - LCD falling apart

Hi Guys

Just a headsup .. I had a slight problem with the LCD on the E3 basically falling apart wile I was trying to swivel it out to do a shot. I'm shocked how easily it just seemed to get stuck and then start to seperate. I've given up on trying to see if I can fix it even temporarily as its firmly wedged in. As I;ve seen a number of reports on the LCD breaking up I was wondering if its an issue that Oly will fix without me having to pay up for it ? I was planning on sending the E3 in for a service and possibly the F2 as I've noticed pics taken 18 months ago are a lot more detailed and sharper.

Harj: apparently the LCD is an issue on the E-3, that's why the E-30 LCD screen is stronger than the E-3.

...my E-3 LCD is the same Harj, one of the itty bitty screws pulled away due to the design and me using the LCD properly (translated means I turned the glass inward when not in use), it just fell apart and now is permanently in place with the LCD showing. I never use the LCD for live view, over the head shots, anyway so I am living with it as is.

Harj, had the same thing happen to mine & had it repaired out of warranty cost over $200 U.S. can't remember the exact amount but I posted it here on a thread somewhere. I frequently shoot in some questionable environments so I needed the weatherproofing intact & had to have it fixed.

It's definitely a known issue with the E3 unfortunately.
