the 18-50/2.8 is a fine lens and a great companion for the 9-18. I havent had any issues with mine but you might like to make sure you have a good return policy if theres an issue, Sigma are known for lousy QC, but it usually just shows up in new lenses

i fluffed this one,
the front row of bulbs is OOF, DoF is quite narrow its easy to do
has a certain 3D look to it though, well almost
