Default Morning Dew

Again, middle of the woods and up at 7am, I headed around the river for some shots. Here are the best ones:

This is at f5.6, 300mm:

This is at f5.6, 300mm:

This is at f8, 190mm... again, very sharp IMO. f8/190mm seems to be near the sweet spot for this lens.

These were all taken with the E-620 and 70-300mm.

I wish I had a better tripod. And having a <= f2.8 would have been nice too. The 50-200 would have rocked these pics even more.

Hi Dan,

The images, indeed are really very good.

It does pay to get up early in the morning. Lots of good things to photograph.

And yes, as good as the 70-300mm is, the 50-200mm is simply in a different league.

So you want to be a better photographer? Open your eyes and take a look at what is all around you.

Very nice, good job. I especially like #1. All of them are capture the soft light of early morning very well.

I also like these. #2 is my favorite. When I see a large droplet like that I want to zoom in and see what is showing up in that "lens".

Nicely done Dan. I'm a little surprised that at f8 the DOF is still pretty shallow, worked out nicely for your shots though.
