That is going to be a superb little camera. It hopefully will generate increased profit for the company to fund the successor to the E-5. They need to keep the 4/3 line going to serve it's base and the use of all those great Oly 4/3 lenses. Oly was quick to clarify that the new E-M5, while weathersealed, was not in the pro class, as it was not as rugged as the E-5, and it's shutter life was not guaranteed to 150K like the E-3 and E-5.

It does appear that Oly is serious about an E-7, which may well be their last pro DSLR with an OVF. The OM-D is a good indication of the long term future of advanced amateur and pro cameras. I do wonder if it's too small to handle long zooms, but I haven't actually seen one yet. Certainly I find the E-5 way more comfortable for my large hands than the E-500 (a camera whose output I still like a lot).

Thanks for the post - I didn't know DPR had done that review. And a favorable one at that!
