The gold finches are fully decked-out in their summer plumage. A little soft but I like it.

Yeh, I like it too. We have a lot around here but for some reason they don't hang out on our feeder or suet.

These are my absolute favorite birds. They are so brilliantly yellow this year that it almost hurts your eyes to gaze at them. Our son was admiring a bunch of them hanging on the thistle socks and said that it was hard to imagine they weren't expensive birds that had escaped from an exotic pet store.

Nice catch Gary. Very pretty bird and the yellow color is striking. Supposedly Florida is one of their winter destinations, but I have never seen one in this area.
