Default Dancin' with Claire, part 2

Five years ago I posted a story about our close friend Claire rescuing a thoroughbred racehorse that was about to be killed because she wasn't winning money anymore. Racehorses are very much like stock car racecars - they can only go full speed and they can only turn left (I'm not making this up).

So it took a while for Dancin' to be trained to unlearn being a racehorse, so that she could just be a normal happy horse that Claire could ride. Then, Claire got on a roll and had the trainer train Dancin' (and Claire) to learn Dressage. Five years later, yesterday Claire rode Dancin' in their first Dressage judged exhibition. There's nothing spectacular about these photos, except knowing where the two of them started from:

Very interesting story Ted, thanks for the narrative. I had never thought about that aspect of race horses before. I learn something new every day.
