Default The Queen (no, not that one) arrives in Liverpool

The two shots date from September 2011 when the Queen Mary II came to Liverpool for the first time. They were taken with both of my lenses (guess which one's which) from a mile away, with the help of my bean bag. The only pp was a slight increase in aperture on the wide-angle shot.

She will be in Liverpool again next weekend with her two sister ships, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth, to celebrate 175 years since Cunard's first trans-Atlantic passenger service. The former Cunard HQ is the building to the right of the Liver Building (the one with the clock). I'll try and get there, but it's a holiday and anything up to a million people are expected to see it.

Now those are cool shots. I love cruise ships, and it is nice to see one in an unusual place not normally seen in the travel brochures.

Hope you are able to get back there when all three ships will be there and get some more shots.
