Default E-10 for Sports?

Has anyone with an E-10 used it to shoot sports? In particular, I have the opportunity to shoot some youth hockey games and until I can afford a Nikon D100 to utilize my Nikons lenses, I was thinking that an inexpensive way to hold myself over would be an E-10.

Any E-10 owners have any thoughts?

I've had theE-10 for over two years now, and to freeze the action I would either pan the camera along with my subject, or choose "ISO 640" - in other words, push ISO 320 one stop and then fix the image in Photoshop. But even so, 1/640s is kinda limiting in some venues. I mostly used/use the E-10 for landscapes and a few portraits, and for VR work the E-10 is a bit lighter to work with. My D100 and lens are too heavy for my current panohead so it's not practical, the E-10 more than acomplishes what I need.
