Here is a market the new 4/3 will not be able to hit: people already with slr lenses; there are a lot of photographers who decide their DSLR based on their existing lens armada. The new 4/3 system does not allow for existing lenses to be used. Getting a brand new system and lenses is quite a purchase for most (and way off for me right now)!!!

I currently own an E-20 and have prevously owned an E-10 and a D600L. I think I am going to skip a generation. I think it is too early to call a winner. A smaller lighter SLR style camera with interchangeable lenses would be great.

But I suspect the winner will resemble a Contax G camera more than it will an SLR (owned a G1 for a while). My theory is that eventually EVF's mature to the point where those of us who grew up on SLR's are comfortable with them. And while I am no expert, I suspect that the need to bounce the light around inside an SLR limits how small they can get. A rangefinder-style EVF camera should be able to use even smaller lenses than the 4/3 system.

The Contax had just enough size and heft to make holding it steady possible and comfortable. I hate the Olympus wide angle attachment, but the quality of the image from the E-20 will hold me over for quite a while (though I could benefit from a new printer).

I have been hanging on to my Nikon AF lenses and now realize that I should sell them before the market floods. I carried a Nikon outfit around the world several times on business trips. I would like my next interchangeable lense outfit to be smaller and lighter.
