I started this post to listen to user's opinions about the E-PL1. Would I miss the simple function of the advanced point and shoots if I moved up to a bigger sensor and better image quality? Would I mind not having the all in one straight out of the box macro and long tele lens? Well, thanks to all your comments, and showing off the images you have captured, I made the plunge and have had it in my hands for the last week. And I'm loving it. It has it's quirks but overall it is a wonderful little camera. I think I will keep it.

Yeah, 900 just for the body. But it looks to be a excellent camera.

Good for you, Kula. I think mine is going back. I just bought the Kx with kit lens for the same exact price. If it performs as well I people claim, I'll make the switch.
