They aren't going to do that, because they don't need to do that. They will offer an adapter to mount all their EF lenses, so every Canon owner could buy a body, adapter and be set, and there's thousands of cheap second hand EOS lenses out there, especially If Canon uses a hybrid PDAF/CDAF system like Nikon does.

The problem with using EOS lenses is, the size savings over a DSLR outfit just is not that much over owning a Digital Rebel body, and in the case of this one body, no built-in eyelevel finder, optical or electronic.

The four-thirds system is an Olympus/Panasonic-only venture.
