Default Orchid, hdr plus focus stacking

taken with my Sigma 24mm f2.8 Super-wide Macro lens @ f5.6

center exposure metering, exposure bracketed images at 5 a piece +/-.3, +/-.7 and 0 exposure bracketing. Total of 4 HDR images combined via Helicon focus stacking.

thanks for looking... more to come I also shot some sequences with the 70-300mm.

Hi Andrew,

The Helicon Focus stacking software certainly makes a difference
in being able to achieve a high degree of sharpness and clarity throughout the entire image.

Very well done ....impressive results.

The one thing I would do, if this were my photograph is to 'paint' the background black. This would "pop" the Orchids as well as eliminate some of the distracting bright circles in the background.


So you want to be a better photographer? Open your eyes and take a look at what is all around you.

Very nice indeed. I personally like the natural background (as is). I have no doubt the orchids would pop out more with the black background, especially if the background was very distracting, which to me is not the case here.
