folob, I remember seeing that Pan American silver liner. Polished so well you could see your reflection in it. If I recall, that was Papa Doc's personal ride until it was "liberated"

My first plane ride was in a Douglas DC3 ran by Capital Airlines. I will say that this plane was much more comfortable than riding in today's jetliners. I could actually take a nap on that flight. You had a lot of leg room for sure.
