Default Crepe Myrtle Crazy

The heat is on and everything is wilting, except the freaking crepe myrtles, that just seem to soak the heat up.

E-M5 and 14-150mm M. Zuiko..

A couple of fun captures today....easier to grab with the superzoom since you can quickly adjust and shoot as something presents itself..

No kidding. I remember a couple summers ago, we set the record for number of days above 100 degrees with like 90. Everything was brown and dead, and the Crepe Myrtles outside my building at work was still pumping out blooms. It was pretty impressive. Thanks for posting!

Really nice shots, Greg. Good captures and compositions with very realistic colors.
(Sorry about your hot weather. Seems to be a regular summer occurrence for Texas every year.)

Very nice, those trees are sure pretty when they are in bloom.
