Default Finally won a POTD!

I won POTD today 9/4 and I am very proud. The shot has also risen to my most viewed shot on flickr with 551 views since 8/11 when it was taken and posted that night.

The shot was taken with the Olympus E-PL2, Panasonic DMW-MA1 adapter, and the Olympus Zuiko 14-54mm MK II @ 54mm, f5, 1/250 sec, ISO-200 with the camera sitting on my slik tripod.

The photo is this shot of Cuckold's light off the coast of Newagen, ME at the entrance to Bar Harbor, ME. I did a little reading on the lighthouse which was established first as a fog horn station in 1892 and then as a lighthouse in 1907, being automated in 1974 and today is run by a non-profit off solar power. It is the last lighthouse built along the Maine coast. Marking one entrance to Bar Harbor port there were many ship wrecks prior to it being built and the lighthouse keeper rescued more than a few souls up until it was automated.

In doing that research I found the non-profit and contacted them and granted them rights to the photo for promotional use to benefit the non-profit feeling it was the least I could do. Their site can be found here;
