It is definitely hard to balance, but I think at least for me, this version is much better. In the first shot, my eyes were drawn to the sky and the out of focus leaves in the foreground on the left hand side (obviously not a problem that it isn't in focus, but I think your gaze should initially be drawn elsewhere). So in this second shot, I really notice the tree more and the path, which is what we want. The sky looks a bit purple-ish, but I think this version is better.

Really like the "Old Man's Beard" shot. When I was scrolling down the Hot spots high in the frame were cropped and the shot now had the look of a halloween cat. But the real star for me is the Mt. Lovewell road re-work. I really like the warmth of the colours you have brought out. Vibrant colours in the fall, always a winner
